Some Babies Are Orchids and That Changes Bedtime

Not all babies process the world the same way.

When the world feels unpredictable, they stay alert.

Sleep cannot happen in sustained alertness.

  • Water is a bridge.

The goal is not control. It is containment.

When the body feels contained, it releases. It FEELS safe. 

Sleep follows.

You do not harden an orchid. You regulate one.

And you start earlier than the crib.
