Caring for Your Bamboo Hair Wrap
Our bamboo hair wraps are incredibly soft and highly absorbent, which means they naturally retain more moisture than traditional cotton towels. In humid environments or if the wrap is left damp for extended periods, mildew or mould can develop. This isn’t a fabric defect—it’s a result of moisture remaining in the fabric for too long.
To keep your hair wrap fresh:
- Hang it fully open after each use so air can circulate freely (terry side facing out is ideal).
- Avoid leaving it rolled up, folded, or sitting damp in a laundry basket.
- If possible, dry it in a well-ventilated area or in direct sunlight from time to time.
- Wash regularly according to the care instructions.
If you notice mildew or musty odours:
- Soak the entire wrap in cool water with 1 cup of plain white distilled vinegar for 30–45 minutes.
- Wash on a gentle cycle with your regular detergent.
- Air dry completely, ideally in direct sunlight.
